Congratulations to the youtube team for reaching this epic milestone.

Remember it’s rocky history?  Google acquisition, royalties, lawsuits, blocking….. in spite of all this, Youtube still manage to be our defacto video site. And they make sure we all take part in the celebration with their new logo which now includes a new 1BN banner, with the words “1 billion views per day!”

So why just put out a banner now? It turns out that three years ago, this was the exact time that Google acquired YouTube for a whopping $1.65 billion!

Now to top all the fun off, the logo’s file is named logo_holy_crap_1bn_a_day. 😀 Holy crap indeed 😀
