Straight off Apple’s WWDC, Steve Jobs proudly unveils the latest iteration of Apple’s smartphone, the iPhone 4.

Running on the newest iPhone OS (now just dubbed iOS 4), featuring dual cameras and an IPS LCD display, Steve kicked off his presentation of the new iPhone by calling it “the most beautiful thing we’ve ever made.”

So how slim would you like your next netbook to be? Intel’s current offering for small computing devices AKA netbooks, the PineTrail line are usually housed in cases with thickness of an inch or less. Canoe Lake, the platform set to replace PineTrail is meant to slim down that size by half.

Google has just announced the latest release of the Android platform, version 2.2 and codenamed Froyo, during the Google I/O event. Many Android users are highly anticipating this release, not only for bug fixes but also the new features that Google has promised.

Apple updates Macbook with GeForce 320M

With Apple giving the MacBook Pro line it’s much needed refresh, the little white MacBook is also set for a hardware upgrade. Yes it’s still white and still encased in that plastic unibody that we’ve seen for quite a while now but the MacBook is getting a boost in the form of the GeForce 320M chipset and a bump to a 10-hour battery life.

This is the first time I’ve heard of Cherrypal though the company’s name has been somewhat been ringing around several tech circles because of their past netbook release the Cherrypal Africa, a 7″ netbook preloaded with Linux and Windows CE.

This year, the company is set to introduce the upgrade to their ultra small portable, an Android-based netbook with an asking price of just $99.

AMD to ship several new processors


AMD is updating their current line of processors for budget-conscious system-builders.  Nothing ground breaking since they’ll still be using existing core technologies but if you’re looking to build a cheap HTPC (like me), or are in need of an immediate upgrade, you may want to keep a look out for these new cores.

McAfee update breaks Windows XP computers


First it was Nvidia’s drivers with the fan control speed issues and now it’s McAfee and their XP killing update. It seems like a lot of company updates are hitting the fan.

It’s the buzz in reddit a few days ago and it seems that the latest Chrome update for the development builds has confirmed the rumor that Google has purposely removed the http:// from the address bar of it’s Chrome Browser.
